PRESENT ACTIVITIES:
About 50 additional television sets have
been installed at vantage points in the Race
Course to facilitate better viewing. Wide angle
television sets are also placed for the benefit of
racegoers. Ambience around the Bookmakers' Ring
has been spruced up. Seating areas around the
trees have been aesthetically designed. MRC is,
now, free from dust and pollution.
Better parking areas for Cycles and Scooters
have been provided as there was a heavy congestion
in the parking area. This has been given a
face-lift and movement of the vehicles is far more
comfortable, avoiding traffic congestion. The Club
House, which forms the backdrop of the Chamundi
Hill, has been completely spruced up. A generator
of 125 KW has been installed for uninterrupted
power supply.
In keeping up with the tradition of health
care, which is of prime importance in the dictum
of the Mysore Race Club agenda, an additional
medical Room for Jockeys and Syces is constructed.
Three
additional Borewells have been commissioned and
metalling of the road around the stable areas have
been completed.
The
closed circuit television room, which was earlier
located in the Stands, has been shifted to the old
office premises, behind the Weighing Room.
A
room has been constructed to preserve the archives
adjacent to the Sampling Yard.
A
Medical Room with ultra modern facilities will be in
use shortly. The drive in to MRC is an enjoyable
experience and the gates lend aura and majesty to
the Mysore Race Club.
A
new starting gate designed and conforming to
international standards is in operation.
